Precision Injection Molding of an Eco Blaster Piston for the Toy IndustryA customer in the toy industry contracted us to manufacture this piston which is used in one of their toy products. Composed of polypropylene, it featured multiple moving parts and mating surfaces, and highlights the complex shapes that our advanced processes can produce. Manufactured on our precision injection molding equipment, the part featured a SPI B-2 textured finish, dimensions of 2.068" in length, and an outside diameter of 1.040", with a volume of 0.27 cubic inches. The customer supplied drawings called out tolerances of ± 0.005", which was maintained through dimensional inspection and hourly fit testing. The customer required a total of 600 finished pieces which we were able to produce at 144 pieces per hour. For more information on this project, see the table below or contact us directly.
